pa/pj weekend

Had a very art filled weekend and it was great!! Got a tour through the pj factory in pa (pajamafactory.net) check it out its really awesome. I love the concept, and hope there are similar situations of artists working together in a space somewhere closer in philly.
so this weekend has left me very desirous to concentrate on making art. I've had a push from the universe to keep on doing.

two worlds

Multiples

Theres something about these round shapes. They show up in everything. And they feel like beings to me. This one is interesting because there are multiple shapes, as oppposed to the usual two or three. In fact there are five, one being more distinct. hmmm, family reference?

I prefer to let my art tell me what its about.

work of art

I have been watching work of art on bravo lately. Ive been thinking about how challenging it would be to just get an assigment, so open, yet so specific, nevermind the competition aspect. It reminds me of Carol's class where every medium was a possibility, and also Abbey's advanced drawing class, where there were topics that we responded to.
I want to do something like this.

a return to paint

This painting has just been created. It is one of my beginning pieces as I get back into the swing of painting after having worked in mostly ceramics this past year.

Its amazing to me how certain aspects remain in the work, despite the time that has passed. Yet there are also significant changes in my style and application. Im going to see where this goes.
